Ethel Cromwell is Miss Marple 2.0
....This is the second book in the series [Whispering Falls] and it's another hit. Ethel and her band of 60+ friends prove that creaking joints do not equal a creaking brain. They're sharp and resourceful like their younger counterparts in other books. I especially like the artistic (someone would say batty) Dotty. Her shenanigans had me in stitches, especially when she channeled The King. What a hoot. I hope to see more of her in the future.
And the story itself is full of twists and turns that unravel satisfactorily.
I highly recommend this series to Miss Marple's and Jessica Fletcher's fans.

Clever, Funny, Intelligent Mystery [Cold Case]
Ethel Cromwell , what a gal ! I absolutely adored her ! She is one sharp widow with some really good helpers when it came to friends who helped her solve these mysteries. Yes. I said mysteries because there really were a few of them.
I enjoyed it all. Especially liked some of the unexpected allies and uncovering of some of the unknown motives and hidden places that information was hidden. Very clever. I adored the fact that he "old people" got together and got things done!!!
There is one mystery left at the end that now Ethel feel like she JUST needs to solve. I hope to read more about Ethel and her gang!
