Ashley Hollow
RSVP: Maps, Mangos and Murder
Something borrowed. Something blue. Something very, very wrong.
When Julia Sweet agrees to cater her cousin Bonnie's wedding at the grand Sweet Hollow Manor, she expects champagne, canapés, and one very romantic wedding in the rose garden. What she gets instead is a dead yogi, a houseful of suspects, and a man in a Panama hat who is not, it turns out, the mystery novelist he claims to be.
Julia, Cocoa the sneezing deputy, and her quick-witted teenage chronicler, Andy, find themselves untangling a web of old secrets, stolen jewelry, and a treasure map hidden inside a doll's head. All while trying very hard not to ruin the wedding.
Was it Lord Rickaby whose medication went missing before the body was found? Or Simon, the wedding photographer, who was taking too many photos of the Manor? Or perhaps Henri the French chef, who knew more than he would admit?
With handsome Sheriff Jack Harlow at her side, a tunnel system running beneath the manor floors, and Cocoa making one very important discovery in the rose garden at sunset, Julia learns that the truth is buried deeper than treasure - and that kindness, as always, is the most powerful thing in any room.
Because at Sweet Hollow Manor, when the wedding bells ring . . .
Not every guest is there for the bride.
