Hello Mystery Lovers!

Happy almost 4th of July to my readers here in the States! And to my wonderful international readers - hello to you as well! I know many of you are in the Southern Hemisphere right now, bundled up against brutally cold winter temperatures, while here in the Appalachian Mountains, we are experiencing the opposite extreme! We are in the midst of record-breaking heat, along with much of the country. It is unusually hot, especially for our higher elevations, where summer temps typically stay cooler than most places. Thankfully, a few rainy days are in the forecast, which should help bring us back to more normal temperatures soon!

To my American readers celebrating the start of Independence Day weekend - I hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends! Please stay safe out there, whether you're grilling, gathering, or watching fireworks! 🎆🇺🇸

Whether you're beating the heat, bundling up by the fire, or celebrating the holiday, there's nothing better than curling up with a good cozy mystery! 🕵️‍♀️📖

Death at the Renaissance Faire

A Christian Cozy Mystery Prequel

By Juniper Quill

✨ FREE for the taking! ✨

Love,

Ashley H. 💕

Today's FREE Feature:

A runaway bride. A mischievous dachshund. A Renaissance Faire full of suspects.

Two weeks before her wedding, Jenna Harlowe catches her fiancé lip-locked with the wedding planner!?

With her heart shattered and her future canceled, Jenna does what any sensible runaway bride would do: she gets in the car and drives away. But when she runs out of gas near the Falconwood Renaissance Faire, she finds herself stranded in a world of velvet gowns, clanging swords, suspicious merchants, and more drama than a royal court.

At first, Falconwood seems charming.

Then Jenna discovers the faire is less “huzzah” and more “who-done-it?”

There’s a grumpy yard-shop owner with secrets stacked higher than his junk pile. A blacksmith with a temper hot enough to scorch iron. An antiques seller whose goods may be more fake than his smile. An herb-shop owner with remedies, rumors, and maybe a few dangerous secrets. And a crowd of Renaissance Faire actors who know how to play a part—perhaps a little too well.

When murder strikes behind the booths, Jenna is pulled into a deadly mystery full of red herrings, hidden motives, and clues sharper than a blacksmith’s needle.

Lucky for her, she has Finn—a dachshund with a nose for trouble and absolutely no respect for personal space.

Jenna didn’t plan to become an amateur sleuth. She also didn’t plan to be a runaway bride.

But as Falconwood’s secrets unravel, she’ll have to figure out who’s acting, who’s lying, and who’s willing to make murder the faire’s main attraction.

And when the dust finally settles, Jenna receives one more shock: an unexpected inheritance.
