Hello, Cozy Mystery Readers!

I thought it would be fun to get a little personal today and share something near and dear to my heart: my favorite reading spot!

I've got a well-loved leather theater-seat recliner that's basically my happy place. In the evenings during my wind-down-for-bed reading time, I always have a full glass of water beside me. But early mornings are my absolute favorite, when I'm up before the rest of the household and the world is still quiet. That's black-coffee-and-a-book time, and it's pure magic! ☕📚

My aunt gifted me her prized handmade lap quilt, and it's the ONLY thing I use to cozy up in my recliner. It makes it feel extra special every single time.

And of course, my mini schnauzer Daisy Mae and my Devon Rex cat Sandy always have something to say about it! They immediately vie for lap space the moment I sit down, and they especially love it when I'm just reading, so they don't have to share me with my laptop! 🐾🐾

Now I want to hear from YOU! Where and when do you love to read most? Just hit reply and tell me all about it. I'll be featuring the most wonderful responses in my next newsletter!

Love,
Ashley H.

Each suspect has a motive, including the proprietress. For some reason, all want to tell Stella their alibi once the dead man is discovered. As she pieces together their stories, she starts to wonder if the death is as accidental as it seems. Or is something more unsettling at play?
