ASHLEY HOLLOW

Fern Valley Cozy Mystery Series

Good morning.

Can I let you in on one of my very favorite things in all the world? Right now my greenhouse is calling my name, and I am happily answering! Between hauling in what felt like half a garden center worth of potting mix and soil for my new raised beds — yes, my car was completely buried — and getting ready to tuck those first little seeds into their cozy new homes, I am in absolute heaven right now. Starting seeds in my greenhouse is hands down one of the most joyful and hopeful things I do all year. Every single tiny seed is a little promise of something beautiful to come. And speaking of beautiful things — wait until you see what I have for you in today's newsletter! 🌱📚

The back of my car yesterday, driving home from two farm stores. I couldn't help myself! 20 bags of potting mix and raised bed soil mix. That wasn't all: I had another 16 bags of organic soil delivered to my door.

Okay... I'm addicted. Can't help myself. LOL

We have a FREE feature for you today, and 5 honorable mentions. I hope you enjoy them.

Today's FREE Feature:
A Murder Most Mulchy

A body in the dahlias, a southern belle with dirt on her hands, and a handsome sheriff who’s more thorns than roses.

Ruby Hartwell knows her way around blooms and backyards, not bodies. But when she stumbles, literally, into a murder scene, her freedom is soon on the line.

Elliot Thatcher, town grump and recent antagonist of Ruby’s, is dead. Now she’s a suspect, and Ruby must find the real killer before she ends up behind bars.

Armed with nothing but stubborn grit, her quirky pals, and a mutt named Moxie, Ruby gets tangled up in a mess of trouble. Everyone has secrets in this small town, and someone is hiding the truth.

Could it be the victim’s estranged ex-wife, Clara, who resented his manipulation and cheating? Then again, there’s Harold Jenkins, resident conspiracy theorist and part-time beekeeper, who had his own personal beef with Elliot. Or perhaps suspicion should fall on Honeybell Crowder, Pinewood’s own local celebrant, whose land disputes with the victim are well known.

With time slipping away, Ruby must uncover the truth and clear her name before the real killer strikes again.
